Tiny Gatherings

Whether you’re hosting your nearest and dearest or your industry’s best and brightest, Flora Chang is perfect for small-scale events. The footprint is surprisingly versatile—there’s space for cooking demonstrations in the kitchen, salon-style discussions in the upper lounge and plenty of elbow room around the dining tables.

Pre-Wedding Festivities

Kick off a wedding weekend in the North Sea by hosting your rehearsal dinner at Flora Chang. Or reserve the space for your wedding party to prepare for the big day—and be sure to leave time to snap some shots around the pool table or in front of the art before the ceremony.

Productions

Character-filled details, natural light and one-of-a-kind decor make Flora Chang a flexible space for small-scale photoshoots and film productions. One-on-one interviews for documentaries, portrait and lifestyle shoots work especially well in this space.

Flora Chang, Then & Now

Flora Chang is perhaps our most mysterious venues and not much is known about the lives it lived before becoming part of the Marvimon family. It’s rumored to be one of the oldest buildings on the block and we named it after its previous owner.

When our team acquired the property in 2017, we collaborated with engineers, craftsmen and artists to completely redesign and refurbish the space. Like all of our venues, we worked to limit the environmental impact of the project by filling the space with rescued materials—this time sourcing objects, textiles and furniture from the storied Anawalt estate in Brentwood.

Until it was torn down the home was owned by lumber scions Richard and Patricia Anawalt and was a love letter of sorts to Patricia’s eclectic and worldly tastes. You’ll find her spirit in the art, carpets, book collection and doors that now call Flora Chang home.
